Certified translation
Certificates, declarations, powers of attorney, contracts and identity documents, authenticated at a Notary’s Office so they are legally valid in Portugal and abroad.
Legal translation
Contracts, court rulings, minutes, documents for emigration and immigration procedures and other legal texts, with terminological precision and confidentiality.
Literary translation
Books, articles, theses, dissertations and other long-form writing, with attention to style and the author’s voice.
Proofreading and editing
Correction and improvement of emails, CVs, presentations and professional or academic texts, in Portuguese or English.
Technical and specialised translation
Manuals, labels, practical guides, medical reports, texts in the social sciences and humanities, websites and software. With a glossary or instructions from the client, any terminology is possible.
Additional services
Up to two free revisions after delivery, registered post via CTT to anywhere in the world, and an invoice issued.
Available language pairs
European Portuguese by default. English and French translated directly by Cristiana; the remaining pairs handled by the dePapier team.
How a quote is prepared
There is no fixed price list, because two documents with the same number of pages can require very different work. A quote takes four factors into account:
Language pair
The combination requested and the direction of the translation.
Type and formatting
General, legal, technical or literary content, whether certification is needed, and the formatting of the original (tables, stamps, signatures).
Volume
Number of words or pages in the original.
Turnaround
The time available until delivery. For urgent requests, a rush fee may apply, always stated before anything is confirmed.

Yes. For certified translations, I send you the translation first, before certification, so you can check it. I only proceed to certification once you have approved it. Changes requested after the translation has been certified are possible but may incur additional costs.
